VALENTINE IOPPE www.artvalentine.com Valentine Ioppe is well-known for his incredible originality, technical virtuosity and classical background. He graduated from the Moscow University of Architecture. Valentine’s first artworks had a strong and beautiful composition. The influence of Vassiliy Kandinsky, Mark Shagal and Pavel Filonov is apparent in his manner and understanding of art. His powerful and dramatic interpretations of the sea and flowers in watercolor have never been surpassed and hold a unique place in Russian and Canadian art. He has exhibited his paintings at many international exhibitions in Europe, Russia and Canada and his masterpieces may be found in numerous private collections in Spain, Israel, France, Ebgland, and America. Valentine Ioppe is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia and the Association of Architects of Russia. He used to be one of the active members of the Gorbachev Cultural Fund that was successfully exhibiting and selling his paintings abroad for many years. Since 1991 he has been living and working in Canada. Valentine Ioppe is a romantic person and he never draws negative things. I'm a 22 yr old Masters student at DAL. My field of study is Library Science but I would much rather have gone to art school....but the parents said no and I listened (I was 17 at the time). So, I do what I can and hope for more opportunities in the future. I'll draw or paint anything...just have to be motivated first....
